2ይ ሰሙን

There is no originality in christianity i.e your walk with christ. What that means is that, there is no other teaching or doctrine other than the gospel that is, the word of God. All the doctrines the Lord wanted us to have are within the two covers of your bible. 

The heart of God is given and poured out in there for us, to know and to behold. Paul writes to the Galatians saying, But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. The matter of fact is every believer attests to this but then again, builds other doctrines that revolve around our personal traits and perceived strengths. 

It is common to hear the phrase ‘i want to be myself’, ‘my own’ and other phrases along those lines. In the search of being ‘original’ or ‘being yourself’, we neglect the basic template of being a follower of christ; You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.1 cor 6:19-20  I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Gala 2:20.

Beloved, let us lean to the truths found in the word. Find our identities in Christ within the word and teach our minds to accept those truths rather than the lie the world tries to sell us.

Jermiah 29:11 NIV For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Rom 12:2 NIV Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
